Well, come to think of it , just a week or so ago, an across country bus trip. If you don't make friends on there, you are kind of lost, if you know what I mean. (I usually don't befriend people, easily or readily.)

I befriend people all the time; my husband never knows who is coming for dinner. I could write a book (maybe I should about all the unlikely places and situations where I have made a friend.

A new girl at work was having a hard time. So I became her
defender. She had small children and had to work. After she
got use to the job. She messed up royally. Maybe I will not be as quick to go out of my way next time.

A few weeks ago... I met someone who sounded like they needed a friend... and I obliged... I think it's working out well.

About a week ago a new family just moved in next to me and they are immigrants who you could tell felt very out of place...I went over and introduced myself and my daughter to their kids...They seem very sweet...

a couple of months ago, start of school. noticed a new girl and introduced myself. we're good friends now. :D
