NONE, the converters are usually for connecting IDE devices to the SATA port. The PCI card workaround is a slow alternative. Maximum bandwidth of PCI is 1.33Gb/s. SATA ll speed is 3.0Gb/s. The external drive on USB workaround is slowest at 0.48Gb/s.

In short, no, but, (and I assume you bought a new Hard Drive for a PC with only an IDE connection) you can get cheap PCI SATA cards which will let you plug in SATA drives.
