I am compelled to learn such things....when I have a definite opinion....I ask myself why.....it usually leads to immediate shades of gray, then self discovery...healing...productivity.....empathy....insight...more searching for established belief structures to question.....

Absolutely. It's like getting a total assessment of what the result of your action may cause you. Once you've done the move, then that's it. There's no turning back. It's either you've succeeded, or you've ruined your life forever. So it's so crucial to know and understand the entire situation before giving yourself the 'go' signal. It's not 'weakness' to hold on or back out if necessary;..it's just being 'wise'.

Human capability as well as sensibility is not fixed... in order to get the desirable stretch, it is often necessary to forget or learn to ignore what we think our point of no return is. We can always surprise ourselves by surpassing limits we have believed to exist inviolably.
But for the courage to go beyond that point, the human species would not be where it is. Wisdom must imbibe reasonable courage within itself. For the courage to be 'reasonable', we must know our limits in the first place and then only can we look for the reasonable stretch.

This is how children learn; they push the limits until someone pushes back, or if they are very unlucky, they get into real trouble. I think it is human nature to push limits and find the point of no return. It is up to levelheaded folks to keep this tendency from destroying the human race.

In cases where you know your weak points and you don't want a mountain to build out of a mole hill. Definitely.

I could answer this question in a number of ways...on one aspect, yes we should know where our 'point' lies, or we wouldn't experience anything. Then again, the point of no return can be fatal!! So I'd rephrase by saying be more adventurous...sound good?

Only if you plan to return. I plan to move forward because its far too easy to get stuck in the ruts of the past or others journeys. I'm a trailblazer.

Yes I agree that we should know,or we know where our point of no return is, because we should use common sense for it.
