I don't know, but I know why some people spread rumors on good women, maybe its the same answer.

Revenge, isolatation from support, coverup.

What I want to know is when blacklisted through rumours who do you turn to for help.

Anyones guess to why people can be so cruel & how on earth some people come up with the stories they do. I have been at the end of some rumours & gossip & always from people i have only ever helped. People let you down in this life be prepared for some hard knocks. But just ignore them..they are sad, feel sorry for them instead of angry, the truth usually comes out in the end.

Jealousy and spite would be the most probable reasons, people who spread rumours unprovoked do it to cover up their own failings of being a human being, however truth will always out!

Depends who is doing it, and is it really for no good reason. Motives can be various, a lot of the time people are threatened by 'good' people, and threatened more when those people are popular, maybe good looking, or maybe have something the other person wants. Others feeling threatened is a good guess, can also include the green eyed monster within this

several reasons.

1. jealousy
2. after the man's job
3. after the man's girlfriend or wife
4. the man may not be 'good' at all and just wants to set the record straight
5. sees the man as a threat to a girlfriend, wife, job, career, take your pick

Envy of course. This world is complicated. I know a co-worker who donates a lot of money for charity but still gets gossip of wanting to be famous for it. You do something bad, you get gossips. You do something nobel, you get gossips. Bad or good, there are always people who don't like you. You can't please everyone. Just go whatever you please as long as you don't cause damage to others.
