Is not just that people view us as war-mongerors. The worst part is, as soon as we get a Democrat elected, the world will forget that America used to be a country that stood by freedom. Even if Europeans made fun of us for "loving our freedom", I'm damn proud of it. I'm proud that we sent Britain packing from this magnificant land.

Our reputation for loving freedom, even if misunderstood by Subjects of Europe, is slipping away and that is an awful thing.

I suppose there are alot of fatsos in our great land.

But I think we have "bigger fish to fry."

Do you feel more sophisticated because you work for an "international company". You know McDonald's is an international company!

The reputation of Americans as freedom fighters are a thing of the past. The world has changed so much since 1776. Back then we were at the forefront of democracy. But now many countries have democracy and freedom. While Americans are chanting freedom slogans, other countries are living it. Even China has advanced a lot. America needs to reinvent itself and move forward. Otherwise we'll just be MacDonald's and nothing more than history.

Because Americans are "Harry", kitchy bad taste, everything exaggerated. The people there are not down to earth, but boasting, shallow. No refined culture. And worst of all, Americans think America is THE world. I'm thinking about movies; when aliens attack/vistit the world - they of course go to America, nothing else matters. And they don't care to know anything about Europe, which have a real history and where most of them(americans) actually originate!

agreed. there are dark days ahead for our children and their children alike. All we can hope for is someone to come along and correct the current predicaments that we have so seemingly allowed to befall our once good intentions.

You can't run a country based on what some people might think.

Is that how you run your own life?

I'd really hate it if we based our decisions on not upsetting our neighbors, because some of them have wanted us dead for two centuries.

Thank you, I don't base my decisions on such fluff.
Neither does our country.

I don't care about what other people think of me or my country. Just don't mess with me. Opinions are not material.
