Even on depo, you risk a chance of pregnancy. NO contraceptive is 100% effective!

You can have sex anytime you want, you still have that 1% chance of becoming pregnant.

Only abstinence is 100%.

People HAVE gotten pregnant on Depo.

Also, please check out the reviews for this horrible drug at http://www.rateitall.com/t-330-birth-control-methods.aspx and google "depo provera lawsuit" before you get your next shot! TOO many women have horrible health issues due to the shot.

true that nothing is 100%, but depo is about as close as you will get to 100%. it is highly effective and it is safe to have sex 1 wk before the shot is due. I agree with the other poster, that depo has a lot of problems, but pregnancy is an extremely rare one

It's risky to have sex at any time. Double up, use the condom and your birth control always. And depo doesn't work properly if you are under or over weight.
