I don't feel that bad at being #2, i just knew USC would have blown out the Huskies if not for their 16 penalties and 4 personal fouls which is the killer penalties. So with that being said, are you feeling SC fans for being #2?

EDIT- Hey shootmeinthebutt, for your information, LSU play FL only once this coming week, your assuming FL will get to the SEC title game and play LSU, but it's not guarantee that they gonna meet twice so sush about the 2 meeting.

Hey SOK C don't worry about being #2 because my Gators will rebound this week and take LSU out.Maybe your Trojans better get ready for USF in the national title game.

I don't think it matters LSU and USC are the best teams in the country, but.... they both could be upset. I know Fla D is suspect but I have a funny feeling they can beat LSU and Cal could beat USC. If both teams get though those games the NC will be LSU/USC. Should be a good one too.

Tougher schedule plus "better" wins nudged the Tigers. Don't feel bad, maybe Pete Carroll won't cry as hard when they get knocked down losing to Cal or some other team.

Hey Riggo 44, so beating Idaho, Nebraska, Washington St., Washington, should keep you at 1? Were any of those teams even ranked? The hardest game USC play is Cal. LSU is playing Florida twice.

well. you are right SOK....i will enjoy it, especially if it is to Cal (or in some twilight zone twist...to Notre Dame....but I sure aint gonna hold my breath on that one...lol).

But you gotta remember....I dont root for USC, LSU or the OSU Suckeyes....so i try not to gloat or be a jerk about it....though there are a few fans like so-cal jonny and austin that really bring it out.

You guys have some decent fans, also...though sometimes Bruce gets to touchy....since I have never said all USC fans are idiots....I just dont like Carrol, don't care for the Trojans (and I'm from Cali)...and still am waiting for Bush to get sanctioned. Generally you guys are the better team...but I lost all respect in 05 with that stunt Bush pulled pushing Leinart over the the line.......made me really glad ya'll had to face InVinceable.......

I have long said, that other teams wont beat USC, but their own insufferable arrogance will....just like last season, and like it almost did last night....

#1, #2, whatever. Either team goes to the NC game. LSU wont be up there for long, they probably wont be in the picture for long either. Im worried about Cal personally. Oh no, a Cal vs OSU title game??

WolverLini - If USC is #1 on the "only 2 polls that count", than technically LSU isnt sharing its National Championship title. Cause I sure do remember in 2003 when LSU WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, USC was saying that the AP poll is the one that counted. So really, which poll counts? Sure is funny the "poll that counts" changes when yall want it to.

SOK, I just want my Mountaineers to win. I'm not wishing for USC to lose. For the record, beating Tulane shouldn't be enough to jump anyone. Now matter how crappy SC looked against Washington.

i'm not gonna lie. I hate USC and LSU. I hope they lose sometimes this year and I hope Ohio State crashes and burns.

I'm sure yall are sad about being 2 but my team went from 5 to unranked

In terms of skill I still would have it at USC>LSU>Cal. Once USC goes through Oregon, Cal, UCLA, and Arizona State (seriously? ASU? wtf?). Their strength of schedule will go up and they'll be back on top assuming they don't lose any of those games. And no ragging on Washington, they came out to play and their QB is going to be studly in a year or two.

The Trojans, when playing without injuries like yesterday, are capable of destroying anyone. Being #2 is still better than #3. The rest of the country is still jealous.

If they played right now, USC still beats LSU without a problem.
