Al Sharpton is one of a few very popular voices for the African American people. He is an activist, but also a preacher. With the state of civil rights as they are right now someone needs to be there to bring to the public attention the evils that are still around even after they abolished slavery. He helps those who cannot always speak for themselves. He is an honorable and respected man not only in the black, but also white community.
Just so you know, I am white and believe in freedom of speech and freedom of equality.

I think he thinks he is a civil rights hero. I believe he is more of an opportunist. He did help get that kid out of jail the other day, but he also jumped all over those Dukes Lacrosse boys. Where is the civility in that. I think he just likes not having to work for a living, and showing up on TV allows that.

Are adjustments mandatory in racial profiling? sure. Is the Michael Brown incident the time? It looks love it is, yet he should not be a hero! He became a thug. He did no longer should die yet whilst a white guy had executed a similar element this youthful guy did, he could have been killed additionally. i'm sorry, yet i think of there's a undeniable place in hell for Al Sharpton. quite of encouraging human beings to upward thrust above this, he has given human beings excuses for undesirable habit using fact the crime in St. Louis keeps to improve at an astonishing fee. How does his encouraging human beings to dam highways combating healthcare workers, and all workers overdue for artwork help the themes.

Over 20 years ago, Al Sharpton met with and joined two fellow BLACK men--who were clear of their hatred of white people. The three concocted an outright hoax that nearly caused a full scale race war in a small town just under New York.

The shocking news story broke world wide that Tawana Brawley, age 15, was allegedly kidnapped by WHITE cops and was horrifically raped and sexually assaulted by them.

Jesse Jackson, seriously contemplating a US Presidential bid, sonic boomed to be by Al's side---and the cameras were rolling.

Investigative journalists (one of which was BLACK, by the way) uncovered the hoax and the three were wide busted.

Jesse Jackson sonic boomed away from Sharpton, but by then, his Presidential bid hopes got flushed down the toilet.

Sharpton, finding it too dificulut to seperate himself from his two cohorts, managed to wriggle free of jail time by putting on the dog. He sued a major TV network---and found one dumb mistake usually begets another one. Barely, he escaped jail, but failed to save face.

Sharpton bolt ran out of the public eye....and up till recently, laid REAL LOW. But the man has been branded and is to this day, a hate-hearted racial antagonist--who savors media attention....and looks to make the fast buck if he can.

Quite recently in Jena, Jesse was reunited w/ Sharpton. Then, signs decrying "Tawana Brawley" popped up in Jena like mushrooms---and the cameras caught them.

Jesse Jackson sonic boomed out from Jena and away from Al Sharpton. Oprah Winfrey has no respect for Al Sharpton, either. And Obama prays Al doesn't come scurrying up to him. That should tell you something.

Trouble maker for sure. Lets see the Duke La cross guys...Innocent. The Jena Six Guilty...if they were white, he would say it was a hate crime. Why all the double standards. There are many more but you get the idea.

Irresponsible. So is Jesse Jackson.

I'm still waiting for someone to say, "The Jena Six are not the poster children for civil rights. They're bad guys. If people didn't commit crimes, they'd get into a lot less trouble. We should go look for people who are actually innocent, if we want poster children for civil rights."

I'm not holding my breath waiting.

Sharpton and Jackson are both from the same mold, self appointed spokesmen for race issues, most of them contrived at that, just for face time in the media.

Al Sharpton does nothing but stir up trouble. He is a self-promoting sensationalist who wants nothing more than to have is name in the headlines.
