Every time I turn on my computer from standby, it crashes and restarts for some reason. It always says it's a driver problem but I think my drivers are okay. I always send reports to Microsoft but they don't help much. What's the problem?

Every computer I have had, except for my old Tandy, goes bonkers with that standby. (The first one was a Hewlett-Packard, purchased at Wal-Mart; the second a Compaq, purchased at Office Depot. My son, a computer major, purchased a Sony laptop; it is more than 5 years old and still working, so I purchased a Sony Vaio at Circuit City. It is almost 4 years old and still working; but, Standby does not work.) So, first, I would suggest disabling standby. You can still use the timeout; the screen goes blank after 5 minutes (or whatever time you choose).
It probably is the driver; the one for standby.
Disable standby; don't use it. Use the virus scans and whathave you, the disc defragmenter, the disc cleanup and whatever else you have, restart it and see if that clears it up.
It did for me...

Okay did you install a new camera or microphone that requires a driver. If so find it and delete it and install it again. And it can also be a weak power supply if you installed a new video card.

I'm not an expert, but it could be something bogus in your registry. Try to run a registry cleaner....
