NEVER.
not on here, not anywhere, not to anyone, under any circumstance. Lying is irresponsible and breaks the trust people have for you and your word. Although, everyone else i know lies and I'm thinking i should start to as well, it would save me a load of trouble in the future. Honesty did nothing for me, ever, expect cause me more problems than necessary. I also noticed that liars never get in any trouble, at least not right away.

Um, well, I write fictional stories soooo - all the time.
You meant Yahoo Answerland? I try not to. The best I can say is if I do, I was ignorant of it because gosh darn it, I like ya'll and even naively care what ya think about me.
No? "Real" life is what ya meant? Then not so much. If I feel I'll hurt someone with an honest answer, I change the subject, ask them a question instead, or don't open my mouth. It's important to me to set a high example to my kids so that when there are problems, they know I mean what I say, say what I mean, and they can count on me no matter what.
The truth is, I really try to avoid the whole issue of lying by not doing it. Sometimes I slip up - but not very often. The ten points on Y!A or any other type of situation I'm tempted to "think" my way out of just don't seem to balance with the the ten times that difficulty I have afterward in getting it out of my mind and off my conscience.

I sometimes lie a real lot to my parents even though i try not to but absolutely i DO NOT EVER lie on Y!A
