I have a Hp LaserJet 1200 Series printer that is connected to a different computer in my house. I tried goin to start>control panel> printer and other hardwares> add printer>clicked a network printer so i try browsing but nothing worked

You have to make sure your computers are networked, and they are set up to share printers. Check with the manual that came with the printer. Not all printers, especially the older models, can be shared.

I have a cheap Brother laser printer that has both USB and network connections. I connected the printer to one of the four wired ports of the router, and all my computers can print to it, including the computers that have wireless connections.

You need to make sure "File and Printer Sharing" is turned on, then "Share" the printer on the computer it is attached to. Then that computer must be connected to your network, both computers be members of the same workgroup and both computers be turned on. Then you should be able to "Browse" to the printer and install it.
