It's all good, this #1 ranking thing is too early to start worrying right now, we are still #1 in the coaches poll. But i was so pissed at how USC was committing so many penalties and the 4 personal fouls was the dagger. USC need to learn how to play discipline under pressure, they were trying very hard to give this game away but USC show alot of characters on winning this game. This is the baddest we play and it's a wake up call for the Trojans team and they should be better because of this game. Fight On! Fight On to Victory.

Unfortunately, it wont end at #2. It is inevitable that USC will fall lower and lower in the rankings. The Stanford and Arizona games will be close, but USC will squeak by. But then comes Notre Dame, this long time rivalry will end with Notre Dame’s biggest win of the season. The first big death nail will be from the Mighty Ducks, who will put a beat down on the Trojans that will be on highlights for days, until of course they meet CAL. Good night nurse. USC will be whooped like a rag doll, 56 to 3 as the final score. Just like the Dixie Chicks, USC will lose all of their Hollywood and Media buddies, shunned from the media glow.

It seems to me to be premature to chest-pound, either way, seeing that USC is #1 in the only two polls that count ( http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/polls ). Also, there is a lot of football to play, and neither may be undefeated by the end of the season.

They were lucky to get past Washington. If Russo didn't make the bonehead decision on the punt return they would be #10.
They will be #10 after they lose to Oregon and/or Cal.
