I am guessing that, as years go by, people we hate, people who hate us (other countries), is getting less and less. Like when England and Germany could not stand each other. And see Spain had no love for England, either. Based on this, I am guessing that in about 200-300 more years, there will be no more wars. We ALL will finally had "enough" of war.

What do you all think?

Like John Keegan - the famous British military historian - has said, nuclear weapons have made war obsolete. Localized wars are still possible, but the threat of nukes make them feel like "throwing lit matches at each other while standing in a tank full of gasoline."

While nukes may be preventing world wars between the major super powers, wars in general have steadily been increasing. As the world's population reaches 10 billion in 50 years, wars will be fought over water and the number of deaths from wars will increase.

While your view is desireable, the facts show the opposite. The likelihood of a major war is not only possible, its probable. In view of the aging Russian early warning systems, a nuclear war could happen at any time. You hear of all the talk about Iran and terrorists getting ahold of A nuke. Little is heard about the two bulls in the glass shop.

The arsenals of the US and Russia are the scary scenarios when you're talking nuclear war. Not so much the US causing it, but mainly from an accidental launch by the Russians thinking that NATO or the US launched against them. It nearly happened in 1995, when the Russian 'suitcase' with the launch codes was activated for the first time in history....and this was in the POST-Cold War!!!

Oh My God! I pray you're right and we are finally on the cusp of ending this awful waste of life and can move on to other much more fulfilling and creative things to do with out time.
