i'm admittedly liberal (customarily), whether I easily have some ideals that i assume pass the boundary on your area. occasion: I do have self assurance interior the dying penalty, and that it might possibly be used greater frequently. i'm additionally a severe college math instructor, in an particularly conservative state (Utah). toddlers of all stripes insurrection against their father and mom. I see this universal hand. Liberal, and conservative father and mom. that's no longer a liberal/conservative concern. that's an AMERICAN concern. And by ability of status on one edge of the aisle and hurling insults on the different, you're easily area of the priority. i could recommend which you detect a thank you to strengthen into area of the answer. I agree, American values have fallen, extraordinarily. toddlers these days harm out with so lots greater crap than those in my technology. I additionally agree that the media performs a great function. father and mom would desire to end working 80 hour artwork weeks and start up spending greater time with their toddlers. you could call that a "liberal" concept, yet how else are you able to supervise, censor, regulate, and regain administration of those foul mouthed, saggy pants, and pregnant youngsters? the fee could be your guy or woman own backside dollar. much less artwork ability much less pay...in spite of the undeniable fact that it is for the sake of our toddlers, and the sake of our united states. Do it for u . s . a . of america!! As a instructor, i'm getting lots of time with my toddlers. My 2 daughters are okay behaved, take exhilaration in analyzing and faculty, do no longer play video games, and that i could say stay below a stricter roof than many of their "conservative" opposite numbers.

As a democrat I'd say that its the confusion over the difference between liberal values (which aren't bad ideals) vs. socialism/communism (which are very destructive ideologies.
Many good people are drawn into these two ideologies due to the influence these two groups have on the Democratic Party.
I've fought it much of my life, which is why I didn't abandon the party. Democrats have some fine ideals and have won some amazing victories, victories that have led to free speech, free expression, and equality becoming household values, accepted and championed now even by republicans (thank you for joining us in that, quite seriously).
We can't afford to go down the path of socialism or communism. We must prevent that.
Some of us have to do it from the inside.
I hope all of you will speak up.

Brad B, incase you didn't know, ol' Ronnie Reagan was Commie before he ran for political office. He changed to get elected. Anyway, I feel that Conservatives are out there flaunting things like family values, but look at the candidates for Pres. from the Republicans. How many of them are on at least their second marriage of not more? Keep talking the talk, but at least walk the walk!

I would say the area that has degraded the most is the idea of 'civic duty'. Americans don't vote, and when they do, they back corrupt parties, like the 'Dems' and 'Pubs'.
If Americans citizens held politicians from BOTH parties accountable, things would change. They would change even more if we had a viable 3rd party, but it would seem this will never happen. Right now, I wonder if we even have two....

Hope.
We are loosing hope for the future. The loss fo the familiy, the loss of our national identity and borders, the chipping away of our Judeo-Christian foundation that makes this government possible. Liberal values promote a lack of personal responsibility and the consequences are chiseling away at all that makes America Great.

The work ethic. People who founded the US worked until they died. No one asked or expected anything from the government or anyone else. President Kennedy said it best: "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
Everyone will agree it is a great quote. It never registered with liberals.
