No snakes are poisonous, you can eat any of them safely and some of them taste very good. Many snakes are venomous and are capable of killing you. The most venomous snake is the inland taipan in Australia. Australia has all the ten most venomous snakes in the world but they are not dangerous. They are shy and get out of your way. A Sri Lankan viper kills 50 people per million a year while all Australian snakes are only responsible for 0.13 deaths per million a year and most of those deaths were people trying to kill the snake.

It is the King Cobra found in Central & North-eastern India as well as the African jungles. It's scientific name is Ophiophagus hannah. It's venom can cause a minimum of 165 deaths at a time which is more than any other cobra. A man dies an instant death by it's bite. There is no medicine for it's venom. The Sri Lankan Viper runs a close second. It can cause about a 120 deaths by its venom at a time.
