I know Norv Turner and the rest of the coaching staff are incredibly bad, but the players seem to just not be able to do anything. How can the team with the greatest concentration of talent in the NFL be 1-3 and lose to two teams which are mediocre at best (Green Bay & Kansas City)? Try to give a good answer other than that San Diego sports teams have a curse.

okay its not LT its the coaching and phillip rivers. they have always been overrated in my opinion and after losing donny edwards the leading tackler on the D fence and dont forget phillip rivers was never amazing. He is an average QB with horrible Wideouts. LT is fine he has 8 ppl in the box whenever he is running, similar to last year. but his O line is playing horrible. Half of those guys were in the Pro bowl and look at them now. they dont get rivers to get time back in the pocket and norv turner is horrible. Marty was an emotional leader and loved the team and the players responded but norv is just somebody who just tells the MOST TALENTED football team in the NFL just to play ball. im sorry but LT and Gates cant carry a whole offence with no qb nor Oline. The most overlooked position in the gm is the oline and the chargers this year are horrible. One reason LJ isnt as effective this year. Where is the D-fence. the pats are the pats but KC 30 pts are you kidding me. and philip should go join the Rex Grossmen club for taking care of the ball.

Yes, it's the coaching staff. A.J. Smith must've been smoking some really good stuff if he thought Norv Turner would make an excellent head coach. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Turner is only good as an offensive coordinator; I don't care if he built the team himself! Marty should've stayed for one more season.

Norv. Turner....Next question ! It will be just a matter of time before the Raider fans will be taking over your stadium again.
We had him. He shows no emotion. He just stands there with this stupid grimmace on his face. Oh and the longer you keep him it will ruin your next generation of players. Your draft picks will suffer. So between Turner and your GM who obviously knows nothing about football youre screwed. Hell we are probably just recovering from him and he was our coach two years ago.

When Marty was booted and the Chargers hired Norv, I looked at my Raider Nation pals and said "he" ( Norv) will destroy the Chargers team in 1 year. Who knew it would be even sooner then that! All the free agents will leave next year and it will be like the Chargers of old...And Charger fans think Davis is BAD lol your owner is as DUMB as they come!

I wouldn't really say that San Diego has the greatest concentration of talent in the NFL. They got a stellar RB and TE, a shaky QB and O-Line, no standout WRs and a spotty Defense.

It truly comes down to the coaches. They believed in Marty. He cried, prayed and had passion for his players. Norv cares about his own accolades and a paycheck. People notice.

It's called the curse of disloyalty. It happened to Al Gore when he snubbed Bill Clinton and now its happening to the Chargers for firing a 14-2 coach. Justice is delicious.

THEY HIRED NORV TURNER. I didn't think they would be THIS bad, but I really expected them to go downhill. Bad play calling and no motivation ALWAYS kills a team.
