Hey,
Can someone give me a good "base" for the plot of a viking adventure that might last a page long?

The year 793, the raid on the monastary at Lindisfarne that started it all. It does not get more Viking or more attention grabbing than that.................

The Vikings made it all the way down to the Black Sea. You could have a story of how they have to return home for some reason (escorting a princess...), but can't take the overland route and so must travel through the Mediterranean and through the English Channel and all the different types of people they meet.

How about describing the scene of great Viking warrior who been killed in battle, being set out to sea, lying in state on a burning pyre on a ship, with his sword in his hands to insure his afterlife voyage to his god, Oden.

Viking were famous for raiding towns near the water. You could have them rowing up a mist shrouded river to a hamlet and a quick fight, snatch whatever they could and leave.
