I have a laptop upstairs, and a family computer downstairs. I've heard that some people have wireless printers. How do you do that? Is there like a special pritner you buy, or software?

I've tried setting up a network at the comp with the printer, but it keeps saying there is an error.

I have a cheap Brother laser printer that has both USB and network connections. I connected the printer by network cable to the one of the four wired port of the router. All my computers, including both wired PCs and wireless laptops, can print to it.
There are also printer servers that can be wired or wireless, but they are expensive. It is cheaper to buy a new printer, than trying to get an old printer to work as a network printer.
