I see that the KKK is becoming more popular in the south again. Anyone know a reason why. Maybe some KKK members or even support them would like to reply as I would like to hear the other side of the coin. If they are brave enought, which I doubt.

I think the KKK is coming out more in response to what has been happening in Jena, Louisiana. It seems like when anything race-related happens in the South there's a flare. I don't think the KKK ever goes away or dwindles, but they kind of fly under the radar until they find a reason to come out in droves, put on ridiculous costumes and march around.
They are ignorant cowards.

All fringe groups are expanding by use of the Internet. In the past it was chance meetings that you would encounter a fellow racist. After all how does the topic of your racial beliefs come up. So most was local and it took an event to bring them out. Also many did not want to be known as racist since it could have a bad effect on your job, business or customers.
With the Internet, people can search for those like themselves in the privacy of their homes and can join groups without becoming known members. It works the other way as well. The protest over the treatment of the Jenna 6 were much larger because the planned protest was passed to friends over the Internet

i agree the kkk is coming back somewhat. BUT the kkk in (lowercase) can not come back. people r smarter now and hate wont get them very far.
a good story i have.,
I live in Vincennes in where the kkk once tryed to be in our parade. we would not let them. they sued us because all people can be in the parade. well we didnt have the parade and they coulnt walk in southern indana without geting thrown out!!!

I don't know that the KKK is all that popular, most of the racist and neo-nazi groups that are gaining ground are prison based.

Racism is one of the stupidest things this world has created. Its pointlless and makes no sense whatsoever. If a person is racist, they are also stupid.

It's in opposition to the NAACP. They are both racist organizations, just opposite poles.
