You mentioned earlier in the week that you (as a family) were going somewhere for the day (sunday) weather permitting.

And on the day everyone said they didnt want to go for various
reasons but never said untill the day itself, (the weather was great). I'm really piss*d off as I could have gone with someone else If I'd known they didn't want to go.

I was hoping it would be a nice family day out

Thanks for the answers so far, it was a day out at an American Car show, we have a classic 68 Mustang the kids love going out in it with the top down they knew what we were up for but they all cried off, it was the last show in the show season and I'm really upset that I missed it and they didnt give me the chance to take some other people who would have loved to have gone.

Been there and done that.
Had tickets to a Home improvement show, all the family thought it would be great.Ipaid 40 dollars for the tickets.
Saturday morning at Breakfast I said we would leave about10,you would have thought I had just killed someone.
First Question,"Where are we going?"
Second question "When did you say that?"
Daughter hanging out at the MALL.
Son Doing an oil change on his girl friens car.
Wife going to a yard sale with a co-worked.
Screw it I went by myself.

Yes I would - very.

If you want to let them know - without hurting them too much - arrange another one and tell them you need them to confirm before the day as the last one was ruined by late drop-outs.

The guilty ones will get the message.

I'd be well p*ssed, tho if it was my kids and they said they didnt want to go I'd just make them no matter what their excuse was. I know they would have moaned a bit, but usually they end up enjoying themselves.

you need to learn to just go with the flow, and if your a parental, you have the authority to MAKE it a family day out. I know with my family, it's just getting everyone out of the house, once they're out, they have fun, its just getting them moving that's hard. sounds like all you can do now is grin and bear it... and maybe enjoy the day by yourself... or hogtie everyone and drag them with you... so many possibilities...

Yes I'd be annoyed but I suppose they didn't decide until that day they didn't want to go,I guess you can't foresee how you will feel until the actual day.

I think you are only p*ssed off because you are a white English man who cant even control his own kids, its a shame though, look at the status of your grandparents and now look at you, your kind has fallen and will continue doing so...your wife doesnt respect you, your kids dont respect you, your women dont respect you, minorities dont respect you, immigrants dont respect you, europeans dont respect you, the world doesnt respect you... sometimes you white English lads just want a little authority...

I would not have been p**sed off, I would have gone on my own and enjoyed the peace and quiet. You also had the opportunity to have gone anywhere. freedom! charge!
