umm lets see
when i used to live in the Bronx, NY with all the yo-yo-yo hiphopish influence around me, all i thought about was the nikes, jordans, and timberlands.
Now that i live in a semi-redneck town, that interest has certainly faded away and i am not so sure what i like anymore in terms of shoes.

Let me get this straight... I thought "VANS" was a brand name, not a type? Is it a new type I'm unaware of? I know about "crocs".. but vans???
Personally, it's anything "slip-on."
