Many moms actually say that it breaks ur virginity but its because they feel your not really for them most likely. Physically a tampon can not lose your virginity because it is not a penis. When you lose your virginity you have to be engaging in sexual intercourse with a guy. Nothing else can lose your virginity. Try talking to your mom. She may block you out but ask her why she thinks this. Ask her if she doesnt want her to try tampons just for some emotional reason. Better yet, ask her if she uses tampons and thinks it really loses your virginity with the pain and everything. And when a tampon is inserted correctly you don't feel anything. This will be a tough subject to discuss.

Yes, you can wear tampons as a virgin. Girls don't lose virginity by wearing a tampon, trust me. And, yes, contrary to what someone else stated, you may wear a tampon in the water, there is no harm done. When swimming while on your period, tampons are used.

Rubbish, absolute ****. You can only lose your virginity through intercourse.
The hymen is what your mother is most likely refering to. Its a thin layer of skin before the vagina, with a slight hole in it for the blood to come out (your period) Most people think breaking that is losing your viginity, this is not the case.
Until you have sexual intercourse whitch breaks open the Hymen, you are a virgin. If a tampon happens to break it, your still a virign becasue you havent had intercourse.
Hope this helps!

Wow, someone needs to explain to your mom that you lose your virginity when you have a penis inserted into your vagina.
A tampon will not make you not a virgin anymore.
Show your mom this question. I can't believe a mother thinks that a tampon makes you lose your virginity!

Yes, a tampon is for anyone who is on her period, virgin or not. Using a tampon will definitely not make you lose your virginity.
You may wear tampons. :) Your mom should know better than that. Sexual intercourse is the only thing that makes one lose her virginity.
...
Who is the moron giving correct answer thumbs down? LOL... here goes the work of a troll yet again.

Their is only ONE way to lose your virginity and that is by having sex. If you wear a tampon you will not lose your virginity! When i got my period i was a virgin even when I started to wear a tampon so I'm telling you, you will not lose your virginity by wearing a tampon!
Good Luck with swimming!

If by virginity you mean your hymen, you could lose it to a tampon. If by virginity you mean your first time having sex, then you can't lose it to a tampon. I've been using tampons forever and I'm saving my virginity for mariage. I don't think losing your hymen because you had to deal with your period and use a tampon qualifies as losing your virginity no matter the technicalities. Be careful about doublecrossing your mother. I think it's fine to use a tampon. Just because your hymen isn't intact doesn't mean you're not a virgin.

ohhh boy. No, you won't lose your virginity. What your mom is referring to is your "cherry" and when you have sex your "cherry" "pops" so she is afraid that if you put the tampon in, your cherry will pop. Which has happened in some cases but the truth is, it most likely wont. So don't even worry about it because that isn't actually loosing your virginity.

Your mother is talking rubbish, either that or you are telling lies on here to see what sort of reaction you get.
Any responsible mother wouldn't tell her child what you claim yours has told you.
PS: You claim to be 12 years old, so should not be using Y!A, it is designed for 13+ ONLY
