No, but the same delivery truck will be parked outside your house for the next 8 months.

Do you know how many letters the President of the United States gets every day? Obviously he can't read all of them. There are staffs of employees who screen and sort letters based on subject matter. An especially compelling letter from a citizen might get to the President but don't count on him seeing it at all. You will get a response that is general and has a franked (rubber stamp or printed) signature on it thanking you for your letter. The President's office gets a general report of subjects and opinions written to the President. Depending on the particular President, he may want to know what the general report says. Of the letters selected for the President to see his secretary will select what he actually sees. This doesn't matter who the President is. One hundered or so years ago one could write to the President and possibly get a hand written letter back from him but nowadays no.

Others read the mail sent to the White House, if they feel that your letter merits the attention of the President, he may read it; most probably not!
Check the e-mail for a listing of state officials for CA, you should find one for the governor along with an e-mail address. However, he may not want to receive e-mails, so you could be out of luck!

Any letters sent to the President of the U.S. WILL be read. Not by the President, but by White House staff. If it's particularly unusual or interesting, they may pass a copy onto him, but don't count on it.

The same thing applies to politicians in your particular state. They all have addresses for sending letters and they all have staff whose jobs are to read those letters and pass on any that the staff believes would hold special relevance.

By the way, if you want to test my statement, just write a threatening letter and see how fast there's a knock on your door.

This is the President of the United States. Quite naturally, this guy would not have the "time" to read all the material that was mailed to him. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Someone in the office will probably read it and respond. I emailed the governor of Texas a nice letter and a lady from his office left me a sweet message on my answering machine. I kept it for several months before I erased it. Yahoo or Google can find you the address.

Mail is opened in the mail room and the contents are categorized and published. The President does not read it.

Their "people" will possibly read it.......and you'll get a response of some sort -- my kids have written the White House before and received form letters back.....of course, if you write something "bad" you won't just get a letter.....you'll get a knock on the door.....

Well....it really depends what your matter and concern is....if serious...then they might be tempted to pass it onto the president or else....it will be in the waiting list foreva....so...just put a catchy and intresting title on the e-mail subject and show ur concern by emphasizing on your point.....As many thousnds of people have millions of things to say to the president...all you have to do is to write something unusual and GOOD....so that ur mail is recognized. :)

Some one will , probably not the president though.
You will no doubt get a form letter in reply.
BUT if you lucky you could get a personal reply. It's worth a try.
