The eating places....such as Mexican food, Italian food, Steaks and other Beef, just about any type of food....I'm looking for suggestions; we'll be in Vegas in about three weeks...

Mexican Food: Gardunos at the Palms
Steaks: Billy Bob's at Sam's Town
Casino: Red Rock Resort at West Charleston and 215, because it's a brand new, gorgeously appointed and landscaped locals casino with 'Strip' ammenities, without the large crowds.

you may not be getting any answers because Las vegas locals don't GO to casinos- they might work in them, but most don't really frequent them! I used to occasionally go to Sam's or Palace Station or other "off-the-strip" casinos to listen to music. There is a Mexican place on Desert Inn called Michoacan that's good and I think there is still a Sizzler Steak and salad place on Tropicana and Eastern. Black Angus is good of course there are always the chains like Olive Garden. Have fun!

I am not from Vegas but I go there every month. Great Mexican food is in a Walmart shopping center. 6310 W Charleston.

The Draft house on Rancho. I live here. For steak I do my own!! I was a meat cutter in a meat market for 6 yrs. Mexican I can't remember the name..... But it is on Desert Inn. The Santa Fe was voted best by locals. Good luck.
