My jeep has a select trac where I can decide to put it in 2WD or 4WD. I would like to know how many MPG of gas I could save by keeping it in 2WD instead of having it in 4WD all the time.

The Selec Trac system is supposed to remain in 2WD except when you need additional traction. It is very, very wrong to drive your Cherokee on a dry paved road while in 4WD because it puts excessive strain on your car whenever you turn and you can destroy your drivetrain.

I agree...Why would you leave it in 4 wheel dr.?
If you dont know about 4x4's why would you buy one?
You put it in 4 wheel dr. in snow and when your stuck or your bahaing two tracking...thats why they call it OffRoad.
