when i have kids, I will avoid anything labeled GORE, HORROR, or anything rated over a PG
even then, some PGs are pushing it.
I will ALWAYS screen their choices before I let them watch it.
And I will trust them to make good decisions when I can't tell them what to do, as in when they are at a friend's house, movie theater with out me...
Even some Disney movies aren't appropriate for young children (Pirates, etc.)
I also check http://PluggedInOnline.com for movie reviews with a family-based view.
but these are just my opinions!
