I've thought LSU was the best team for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, they're very likely to be upset next week now that the Gators were upset. Its very hard to make it through the SEC unbeaten, so I think we might end up seeing USC VS Ohio State or Wisconsin in the National Title game, though LSU is #1 for as long as they remain unbeaten.

They are a better team then USC that QB Booty will lose a game along the way, however with Cal at #3 now USC could be back at #1 with a win over Cal. LSU is at a disadvantage having to play a conference title game

Let these LSU idiots bask in their glory for one week, big whoop. REGARDLESS of what anyone says, USC is still the better team. Why? Show me one other team in the country that's as deep as USC, can overcome a hostile envoirnment, mental errors, and injuries to their team. Eat your heart out LSU fans and enjoy your temporary #1 status, it won't last.

It's bull crap. Ok so USC struggled a bit against Washington. Washington is a great team this year. They still won and they should still be number one. It's not like it mattters anyway. USC will go undfeated and all the LSU fans will be crying when one of the "big, tough" SEC teams puts a whooping on them.

It seems to me to be premature to chest-pound, either way, seeing that USC is #1 in the only two polls that count ( http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/polls ). Also, there is a lot of football to play, and neither may be undefeated by the end of the season.

sure...they, are number one for now. As Ohio State was last year but in the end who won, it won't be LSU, they wouldn't stand a chance vs. USC.
