Well, I love music but I've never actually been to a rock concert. I want to see My Chemical Romance live, but their only upcoming performance in my area is with Bon Jovi. On MCR's website it says "with Bon Jovi," but I don't know if that means they're just opening for Bon Jovi or not. If they're just opening, does that mean they'll just play a few songs instead of their usual Black Parade Tour concert? Thanks so much to anyone who can answer!

Usually an opener is just to get the crowd warmed up, and not totally wear them out, so anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
However, at a concert like that, it's true Bon Jovi will play the longer set but MCR will probably still play close to their normal setlist.
And, and odd combination, but that would most definitely be a concert to brag about attending!

It may be that the bands split up the headlining duties, depending on the city/venue, which means the opener will have a shorter set, but it won't be 30-45 minutes or so which is usually the length of a set of an opener that tours with the headliner. I would check to see how the concert is advertised in the local media, since the ads would clearly show who is headlining.

Anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. For a band that's not so well known and with only 1 cd out, they'll play for 30 to 45 minutes. But I reckon MCR would play for 60 minutes.

If they are the only openers, it will be over thirty minutes for sure. It will probably last about forty five minutes.
I have seen a ninteen minute opener, and an hour and fifteen minute one. It really just depends. But considering who is opening for who, they wont play as long as a normal show.

Opening acts usually play anywhere from 35-60 minutes.

30-60 minutes, depending on how many opening bands there are, and how long the headliners are planning to play.
