cod3 wii help?

i try to play cod 3 but when i start it it the screen goes black and the controllers shut off

Hmm.. well I heard from my friends and in reviews that COD 3 is very buggy for the Wii. You might have gotten a glitched version of the game. Some games that are not properly made like Bubble Bobble DS (Very bad game).. or even
Kingdom of hearts (very good game).

Just return it for a new one and hopefully it will work.

heres what you do
go to the shops
buy a good console like 360 or ps3
then get COD 3 and some other good games
then ittl work and youll have more fun
