A friend of my daughter has a child and she told my daughter that she wanted to raise her child like I raised mine.
I felt really good about that.

the greatest compliment i ever received was being called an @sshole. let me explain. when i was stationed on Okinawa, i was with an amateur theater group on the island. we did a play in which i played a really overbearing, tyrannical husband. after the run of the play, i was walking around off the base when i hear this voice calling "hey, @sshole!" i look around, and there is this elderly Okinawan gentleman approaching. i ask who he is talking to, and he said "you played Mr. Miller?" "yes" "you did good job. he @sshole, you played him good." best compliment i've ever received in my life.
