Which would be best for someone who LOVES nature and spending time outside (hiking, biking) but also likes a variety of restaurants and shopping, even if I have to drive a little ways. Don't have to live in the city, actually would prefer not to, but then my husband would have to commute, so how's the traffic in these places? Thanks for the input!!

Hi, I live, and grew up in Cleveland. My cousin lives in Seattle, and a former boyfriend of mine is from St. Louis. So with that in mind, I can tell you that I agree with the person above me about Cleveland. But according to my cousin, Seattle is place you can find everything you like. In Cleveland you have to deal with the snow, too much snow! Cleveland is a commuter town for the most part, it is under construction, so your husband would have to deal with a lot of traffic delays even way out in the 'burbs. I think your best bet would be Seattle, my former boyfriend never said too much about the out doors in St. Louis.

Cleveland is like Canada - there is a lot of snow in the winter so you could probably do skiing. It is not a bad city restaurants wise but honestly I would go somewhere less remote.

Cleveland is not a good idea. I live here-and hate it. I will actually be moving to Colorado in two month. Crime in Cleveland is all time high, real estate market is all time low, people are losing their jobs...
Don't ruin your life going here, you will not like it.
