If it does, it will be enough to buy chips and a Coke. Right now, the average retired American draws $1150 a month. No one can live on that. That's just an average. Many draw far less. At age 25, you probably are living check to check. That is understandable because you have not yet reached your full earning potential. But, even if it's $ 30 a month, start tucking something away every month and do not touch it.

No, certainly not in its current form. Save enough throughout your life so you can retire on that, don't rely on the government to support you, as they won't be able to.

I'm not sure if anyone can answer that! I'm 13 and I wonder, but if they take it out, they would give you notice and there would probably be a different program.

Something will be there.....it is a consumer based economy and they cannot have millions of people with no money to spend.
Take it this way....if it is not there the U.S. will not be there

nope and it sux cos im in my 20s and i see how all the gotdang old peeps now are soakin up all the soc security so when u and i are old there wont be any.

makes me mad when i see old peeps cos i kno theyre bein sponges
