My computer says there are no wireless networks in range, when I know there are at least 5. How can I fix?

When I go to "refresh network list" it just says "No wireless networks were found in range. Make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on." My other computer is connecting to my router, so I know this is just a problem with the particular computer I'm using. How do I take care of this problem?
