I'm not going to say the obvious. I'm sure you already know that.
Cig. smoke is like the gunk you get from floor furnaces. You have to really scrub to get it out. But obviously you can't scrub an artificial tree hard. I have two suggestions that might work that I've used fairly successfully when I couldn't scrub.
One is take a chemical bleach like oxyclean (much gentler than reg. bleach), spray it down good, rinse & repeat if needed.
The other is that orange foam stuff. That stuff is fantastic. Since it's a little more expensive I only use it for special jobs or when I don't feel like doing alot of work. Just spray it on one side, wait a minute & rinse. Then do the other side. Then let air dry or I guess you could blow dry if you're real careful & don't use it on high. The big plus with this is afterwards it smells like oranges for quite awhile. Then when you turn on the lights the slight warmth brings the orange smell up again giving you the bonus of a room freshener.

Im not going to tell you to stop smoking cos its not helpful, i know im a smoker myself.
Me n hubby puffed away indoors for a few years until i got pregnant, he quit smoking & i was banished to the great outdoors whenever i was tempted. Its the next best thing before packing up altogether, now its cold i only go out a few times aday. The house smells & looks clean, we had to throw away items of furniture that were nicotine stained & re-decorate.The tv screen was thick with yellow gunk. Honestly i've been in peoples homes who smoke indoors & from the outside it smells of stale ashtray, when you go inside it makes you feel sick & their are tell tale signs of yellowing- & that yellowing smells.
Other than that you may need to just buy a new tree once its yellow.

Seriously,Is it a synthic material or one sprayed white like snow? If synthic spray down with a good cleaner like greased lightening,Simple green or 409. Iwould either do outside or in the shower. You will see the brownish yellow stuff dripping off then either turn on the shower to rinse or the water hose if its the water hose make sure you use a gentle type nossle so you don't distroy the tree. then let air dry. ...Good luck

If you can dis asseble it take it over to your tub. Fill the tub with water, add bleach, let the parts of the tree soak for a while. Then rinse the tree off.

Don't smoke in your home and don't let anyone else either. If that happens to your Christmas tree just imagine what it is doing to the rest of your home.

its not the nicotine, its the smoke from th ciggerett, and you could try wiping it off somehow, or just get a green one, or stop smoking because it will kill u sooner or later.

My friend stuck hers in the bath with a warm water and some washing powder...Left it to soak for a while...Rinsed it and dried it with a hair dryer. I thought she was mad but it worked!

If it is synthetic you can spray it down with a mild soap solution and rinse it off in the shower.

Somehow bleach it! Bleach is very handy for getting rid of stains - I just used it on a red wine glass ring that was on my worktop!
