If you really want to be different, put something together yourself.
I'm going to be Nemesis, the goddess of divine retribution. Basically a dark angel with a sword and a scale. I'm confident there will be no one else dressed up like me.
Think of something you relate to, that you would like to be, and create a costume around that.

I think that bumble bees and chinese dolls are really unique. I usually only see a couple of people wearing them. Also, nurses & gothic prom queens are pretty uncommon!
