You might consider these conditions.

1. You place it on a solid table, where it is PLUGGED IN.
2. Remove the battery completely, so he's TRAPPED, and can't move it.
3. Stay in the room with him at all times.
4. Consider the Kitchen Table, so he HAS to stop using it at the next meal time.
5. If he needs a print out, tell him to SAVE the file and you will PRINT IT for him. (Don't move your printer).
6. Consider adding a LIMITED USER account, so he does not add any software to your computer that will WRECK IT.

You see, he won't break it, if he can't move it. If you are in the room, he won't do any wild surfing or BANGING on it. But stay in site quietly.... don't nag him while he is trying to get his homework done.

So when you negotiate this deal, start letting him use it.

Hey, if your brother is in college, you want him to learn and get good grades. For gosh sakes, you don't want him to become totally dependent on you. You want him to GET RICH, so he can help you when you get into a JAM.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

At first I was going to say ..... awwww go ahead, let your brother use it, after all that's what brothers should do, share things.

But when you said he won't let you use his phone, I say don't let him use your lap top.

Sharing is a two way street.

Show him what sharing is all about, let him use it. You be the bigger person.
