I can't believe when i go the football match or in a pub how many people don't bother washing there hands.My dad was so strict when i was a kid about it,and now i wash my hands non stop all day

im forever washing my hands and i make sure my kids do too. it only takes a minute. why do you think i wouldnt shake hands with anyone in a pub or eat the nuts on the bar x

Yes, I do...I wash my hands many times a day, every time I go to the bathroom and before I eat any food. I work for a healthcare facility and it is frequently discussed. I have been told and believe that washing your hands with hot water and soap is the number one thing one can do to stop the transferrance of germs, colds, etc...I too am surprised more people don't get it...and concerned as well!

I'm the same as you. My dad laid down the law on hand washing when I was a kid. If I don't wash my hands after I've used the toilet I can still hear his voice in my head saying "wash your hands!"
It's proof that parenting can make a difference!

Yes i really do and before i touch food
Like you I'm amazed at how many people in public toilets don't wash their hands
It makes me feel sick I bet then they go and pick up fruit and then put them back
One day i will say something in a public toilet

If I go 2 yes. If Im eating or in a resturant yes, If Im cooking yes. If Im at a friends house or visiting someone yes. But if Im at home and I only take a quick pee Ill admit I dont always wash my hands.

I do, actually. I work with saltwater fish and it's very easy to contaminate the entire tank by not washing hands.
Let alone the fact that many serious human diseases could be avoided by washing hands.

When I'm on my own I don't bother. (After all, my hose is clean!) If I'm at work or in a pub or whatever, I always do. I always wash my hands when I have visitors or I think someone might call round.
No explanation for it, it's just my habits.

Yes i do. I'm a car mechanic and i'm usually caked in muck but i still do it. You get some people going around on nights out dressed up to the nines and looking all flash but they still don't wash after going to the bog. It's disgusting i think.

Whenever possible.Some public toilet hand-washing facilities are worse than an open sewer In that case I would leave it until I could find somewhere reasonable to do it.

always! I hate when I see/hear someone leave a bathroom without washing their hands. And you'd be so surprised at how many people will just run their hands under water, and think that's sufficient. Such nasty people walking around out there!
