Middle varies from around 40-60k a year per household, depending on which area you live in. As you can imagaine the cost of living varies greatly from places like rural areas of outside of Houston to the suburbs of Los Angeles.
If you are single i would say 20 to 25 a hour would make you middle class. If you have a two-income household, i would say $15-17 per person. Both based on a 40 hour week, 52 weeks a year.

Pssh here, its about $12-$15 would make you pretty high middle.

l5 to 25 an hour. would be about middle class. in our area that is.
