If it was Nair for legs then it was Nair for legs. The directions on the package should say something to the effect of: For legs only, not to be used on sensitive areas. Also- on most product packaging of that sort it should caution you to read all directions before use. So, if any of the above mentioned is on the label then you cannot sue. It was a self-inflicted personal injury.

Can't sue a company that says on the box for legs only. Maybe your mother should learn to read boxes more carefully. The last time I looked at a Nair box it said don't use for anything but legs, not for eyebrows or anything else. Tell her to save her money on the lawsuit and get to a dermatologist, they may be able to help her and keep her from getting a horrible scar that will remain. She really did something silly and can cause permanant damage to her face. There are creams out there that work on faces, she should get those in the future and spend the extra money. It's her face that we are talking about here.

I think Nair has a warning that it's not to be used on sensitive areas or intimate areas. They also tell you to test the product on a small spot before using in case you have a reaction; So, I highly doubt she could sue.

I don't know. What do the directions on the can say. Does it say for Leg Use only? Does it say you can use on other parts of your body. If so, did she follow the steps exactly?
This might be a question for a lawyer.
I'm sorry to hear about your mom's misfortune. Hopefully in time the scar will fade.

No, it says on the box not to use it for any other purpose but removing hair from your legs and that they won't be held accountable for any other MISUSE of their product. If your Mom chose not to read, she hasn't got a chance!

Not if she wasn't following the instructions. They usually say something like "Avoid contact with eyes or mouth" so she would have been warned. It's designed for use with legs, not lips.
