I had a tape recorder that I used to tape all the charts onto a tape, every sunday afternoon, trying to pause inbetween songs, and rushing to change the tape over when it had ran out, so that you didn't miss too much of the song. Was I the only sad person to do this, or are there others out there that done this too?

In the days when music was music it was a must wasn't it!!! The first time I can remember doing it was in 1984 (and i've still got the tape). There was Matthew Wilder, Queen, Cindy Lauper, Nik Kershaw, Pointer Sisters on there ....... Really cheesed you off when you had to edit the DJ's voice from the end of the song but by the time you'd finished the next song (which you really wanted) had already started ..... aaahhh what memories!!

yep, and tommy vance always butted in before the end of the track. Still can't hear "Neon Knights" by Black Sabbath without expecting The Yellow Magic Orchestra to kick in 30 seconds from the end... And these youngsters of today think that they are the first generation of music pirates.

Wow, that really takes me back. I did the same thing, and thought I was the only one to do it. How many bad tapes I had, I can't even count them!
