It depends on exactly where you are, how you are possessing it (concealed, etc.) and how long the blade is.

I think a switch blade is illegal to be carried on your person. No problems with a fixed blade knife though.

It depends.

What is the size of the blade? Certain lengths have to be registered with law enforcement and can't be concealed.

Where are you? -- For example, it is ILLEGAL to possess a knife longer than 3.5" on a federal/military installation.

depends on the length of the blade!! also, you cannot conceal the knife (THAT is illegal, regardless of the size of the blade!)

In the Schools as far as I know it is illegal, but just to carry around I'm not too sure!!! It never used to be anyway but times have changed, it could be classified as a dangerous weapon now.
