As the temperatures drop and the humidity is much lower, our nasal passages dry out and often bleed. You might also have a sinus infection or rhinovirus. Try WalMart's Equate brand saline nasal spray a few times a day. This will usually stop nose bleeds from dried out nasal passages. The burning does suggest a virus of some kind.

Your nasal passages are probably dry. Use a saline spray in your nose. You might have scratched it and now its bleeding.
If you keep having nose bleeds, please see a doctor. This could be a sign of a blood disorder or worse, a tumor in your nose. A good friend of mind had a tumor in her nose and the only symptom was nose bleeding.

Do you have allergies?
You may have very sensitive tissues in the nose. This runs in my family. You can have your nose cauterized to prevent it from bleeding so easily.

I would definitely see a doctor about it, if you want to know if your condition deserves intervention.
