It's a very simple question: 26^2-10^2 =x^2 626-100=576 whose square root is 24, the answer..

Let x be the unknown side. By the Pythagorean Theorem, 10^2 + x^2 = 26^2, or 100 + x^2 = 676, so x^2 = 576 = 24^2. You finish it.
