I am taking three languages this year, two GCSE's and three SAT's exams, and I am seriously overworked! My friends want me to spend more time with them, I don't want to upset them, then I fall slightly behind, and aaah! Can someone please help me chill?

Thanks
Vicky x

Hi Vicky. What makes you think you are overworked babe. Then again you are a woman, and most women think that having there nails manicured is very tiring. Stop complaining, and be glad you are not a man, because if you were you would know the meaning of overworked !!. (How is that for a sexist answer?) LMAO. Take care.

Hey Vicky,

You really do have your work cut out.... Maybe you need to consider some time for yourself.

I work 7 days a week and I'm on call 24/7 and its very demanding so for me to chill.... I run a nice hot bath. Have a long soak with scented candles. I'm so relaxed afterwards it's unbelievable.

If your friends want you to come out just explain to them that your studies are important and if you fall behind it means you not being able to come out for a while until you catch up.

If they are true friends they will understand. I don't see my best friend for weeks at a time but he fully understands. My other friends make jokes about me being a workaholic but they enjoy the time together when I eventually get out. (once in a blue moon).

Well done for prioritising yourself. Good Luck with everything.

If they are real friends, they will know that you have to do your school work. If they diss you over it, then they weren't friends in the first place.

Another tack you could take is take stock of how much time you spend on the TV and computer doing stuff that isn't going to build you anything for your future. Which bits can you cut down on? Is there a TV soap you can sacrifice?

You will chill OK without help if you keep up with your school work. And if you do well in languages, you'll be set up to build a nice well-paid career.

Good luck with the exams.

All work and no play makes Vicky a dull girl.
I would suggest you limit yourself to at least one night out with your friends. Then study the rest of the time. Make it a Friday or a Saturday, then you can have a lie in before the swotting begins.

I've never heard of taking 3 SAT's, unless you mean different categories, like math, and English, etc. If you are taking 3 complete tests to send to different colleges, ask the counsellor if he/she can send the results of one test to 3 different colleges.
Perhaps you can have a friends night, where evryone speaks one of the languages you are trying to learn.
