I know this is the wrong section, but thought I would get the best answer.


If you had a couple of job interviews, and someone wrote you a letter of recommendation referencing only one of the jobs you applied for, would it be a bad idea to attach it to your application for the other job.

Never volunteer any information for a job unless asked for first. It could very well come back to haunt you and most employers dont really like applicants who too easily volunteer personalor relevant information without being asked to do so. What you want to do is a good idea per se, but wait til asked for any kind of references or recommendations, especially if the job you seek involves sensitive information. no, I mean if they recommend you ,so, what's who is the letter for. you are the person who is going to work the only matters is how you can change the reference.

No but you should ask them if it is OK to use it. I always ask my friends or previous bosses if I can use them as a reference. I would extend the same courtesy to this issue as well.
