I found an envelope in a rental truck where I work. Inside it were a bunch of bonds- over a 1000 bucks worth. There was also a letter that read something like, " Dear Timmy, we heard you were learning to save money so we thought we'd help you get off to a good start. Merry Christmas, love Grampa and Gramma"

I tried to find the owners but was unable to, so I got some help. The owner was found- 4000 miles away and the bonds returned. I got a letter that said I made a l kid very happy.

Another time, I was in Vegas walking through the airport. I happened to see a very FAT roll $100 bills on the floor. I stepped on then and looked left- nobody there. Looked right, nobody there. Looked dead ahead and saw two girls on a payphone crying and in hysterics.

I whistled and when they looked I picked up my foot. It was clear to me in an instant it belonged to them- and I returned it.
I probably coulda bought a car with that cash but it wouldnt have been right.

You do what your heart tells you I guess.

I would like to think that I've made someone happy after being alive 25 years. I know my husband is happy and I contribute to that as much as I can.

It became considered one of those tangible insurance that defies explanation. my happiest day, different than for that, became someplace back in adolescence.
