Before answering the other, I would hope you realize that there were two Thebes in ancient times. one in Egypt and one in Central Greece.

The Greek Thebes is completely destroyed by Alexander the Great in 336 BCE, except for the birthplace of Pinder.

The Egyption Thebes went out of power in 1800 BCE When the royalty moved to the Delta. It was sacked and destroyed by Assyrians in 661 BCE.
