WOW THANK YOU, I think its ridiuclour that everyone is wanting to use x-mas or holiday instead of christmas, I didnt really notice it last year untilI was looking in all the christmas ads in the paper and they all said holiday cookies, holiday gift wrap, great gifts for the holiday, its ridiculous, its a holiday yes, but what holiday CHRISTMAS, thats what it has always been and needs to continue to be. That would be like if people got up set with st.patricks day or halloween or valentines day because they didnt like something about the name, so it was just a holiday!! thanks for posting this!

X is the old Greek symbol that represents Christ (short form of Xristos). However, in today's society x is usually considered the unknown factor. I won't use it because of this.

I refuse to be politically correct and always say "Merry Christmas" instead of Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings. I don't get offended when other people in other religions celebrate their holidays; why should they get offended when we celebrate Christmas? December 25th is about Christmas, not some other holiday after all.

Don't wait for anyone to give you permission to use the word Christmas instead of x-mas...just say/write it. If you live in a free society (and if you are in America, England, Scotland, Ireland, Canada, Australia and a variety of other places, you do), you are free to say Christmas!
