Sweetie men have alot of pride. Although he wants your help, I am sure that he enjoyed having you completely depend on him for everything. It sounds like he is just threatened. Try to do things that will let him know that you are only trying to help and that he is still the "man" of the house. He has faith in you and that is why he is trying to put doubt in you. He knows that you will find a job and he is nervous....Don't take it personal.

It sounds like he is a loser who wants you to help him out but realizes that if you get a job and money coming in you might become smart enough to get rid of him. He wants you dependent upon him instead of dependent upon yourself for your needs. Get your job and tell him if he needs something to earn the money like you do

It sounds like he might think if you didn't spend money on things that weren't necessary, that you'd already have the money for your car payment. It's called learning to budget, and chosing priorities.

You have to have faith in yourself, before someone else can see faith in you. Go out and prove him wrong. You can do it, I have faith in you. Good luck hun.
