At 9 years old I worked in a nursing home emptying the waste baskets, making flower arrangements, killing chickens and plucking off their feathers for dinner, and feeding patients. I got paid $7 a week and when I was 12 I punched the time clock and got paid minimum wage. Mmm

15. i worked at an ice cream stand making cones and sundaes. I had to sacrifice [football] soccer to work; only got to play a few games and missed a lot of practise. But, i need to make money to help the family sorta and start earning money for what i needed. Mom had a lot of expenses and couldn't afford to pay for everything i needed, not that she should've. I was old enough to work. It was U/T (under the table) so i made okay money.
I babysat before that, but this was my first *real job* lol â¥

17 - busing tables. Got in trouble the first Halloween by lying and saying I was working but going to a party instead. Boy did I get busted. And lost my job.
